OTIS BAKER WATSON, bp. in Dover 30 Sept. 1753, s. of Dudley and Christine (Baker) Watson [First
Parish Records, 1:36]; d. in Sandwich 11 March 1816, aged 62y [Sandwich Historical Society,
17(1936):12]; m. ca. 1786 CHARITY HORNE, b. in Rochester 1766 [calc.], bp. there 13 Dec. 1772, dau.
of James and Esther (Copp) Horne [Horne Mss, 16], d. in Sandwich 22 July 1848, aged 82y [Sandwich
Historical Society, 17(1936):12]. Otis Baker Watson was a farmer; he lived in Dover until 1808, when he
moved to Alton, where he had bought land the previous year. After living there for three years to 1811, he
sold his land in Alton and bought in and moved to Sandwich, where he lived to his death in 1816. His
widow Charity Watson lived there for the rest of her life, to 1848 [Jonathan Watson, 106]. Otis Watson
served as a private in Col. Stephen Evans' Regiment from 8 September 1777 to 20 October 1777 [NHSP,
15:295; 16, 627].
